Fallen - A Hegemon Edelgard Zine

Fallen is a SFW-only fanzine is dedicated to the Hegemon Husk form of Edelgard von Hresvelg from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

This will be an A4-sized physical zine with art, fic, and merch.

Rose is the zine’s art mod. She’s looking to get some formal modding experience so she can go gayly forth to launch a few projects of her own. A passionate fan of animation and game design fundamentals and, of course, Hegemon Husk Edelgard.

Zanz is the merch, finance, and shipping mod. They like cats, donuts and Edelgard in any manifestations of the three. They spearheaded the first and second Black Eagle Lootboxes and are ready for one more hurrah to everyone's favorite monster emperor.

She can also be found on FF14, League of Legends, or other games. Outside of fandom and games, she has experience in both radar detection and space surveillance sectors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this zine for-profit or for-charity?

This zine is for charity. We will be donating all profits to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, an organization providing valuable aid to children in Gaza.

What will the compensation for the contributors to the zine be?

A physical copy of the zine at minimum. If profits allow, shipping and merchandise as well for the zine as well. (Otherwise, merch can be purchased at production price.)

Will the main theme will be focus on the angst part of Hegemon or the “Hegemon as a villain”?

Our mod team is made up of people who passionately love Edelgard. We are interested in exploring different aspects of her character, but not purely her role as a villain.

Is it solely Hegemon or does it involve ships/other characters?

Other characters in general would be fine -- part of Edelgard's story is about the people who stand by her! As for ships, we will primarily focus on Hegemon herself, but we will leave some space (maybe 30% of the content) for ship material.

Will there be a bias toward Edeleth/Hegeleth content in the ships?

So far we have had interest in both Hegeleth and Hegelbert. The distribution of ship material will be based on interest to a certain extent, but we certainly will not just feature Edeleth if the interest is there for other material.

Can some of the merch be cute and happy instead of angsty?

I love happy Hegemon! Edelgard deserves to be happy.

Will Hegemon's design have to be exactly like the concept in the game or will artistic variations of her form be allowed as long as it's clearly Hegemon?

Artistic liberty is fine as long as it's clearly Hegemon.

What should we expect to see in this zine?

The artwork and fics for the zine will primarily depict of Hegemon in different situations, both transformed and partially transformed. We aim to explore her relationships, some platonic and some romantic, with the other characters in the game. We are open to a variety of depictions from serious to cute to in-game to AU to FEH. We want to explore both her humanity and the circumstances that led her to believe that this was her best option available.
